Locker Room Renovations

The time is here!  Construction starts on Monday February 19th, 2018

We are set to begin renovations on February 19th and complete the entire project by April 30th.  We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time of transition and we look forward to sharing additional information regarding facility traffic flow and access downstairs, as well as giving you updates throughout the project.

The ADULT Locker Rooms are scheduled to be closed from February 19-April 30, 2018.

During this time:

  • The current Boys Locker Room will become the Men's Locker Room (ages 13+)
  • The current Girls Locker Room will become the Women's Locker Room (ages 13+)
  • Teen Members ages 13+ will be permitted to use the Adult Locker Rooms.
  • Youth Members and Family Members will share the Family Locker Room and use the temporary Family Changing Room located in the room that was the Cycle Studio.
  • The cycle schedule has been changed, and cycle classes will be held in the group exercise studio. See the new spring schedule and check online for these class changes.
  • As a reminder we are asking Early Learning Center parents to please use the front door during morning drop off.

Saturdays from 8 am – 2 pm and Sundays from 10:30am – 3:30pm

  • Boys who are under 13 and are accompanied by an adult male will have use of the Boys’/ Men’s Locker room as well as the dry changing room.
  • Girls who are under 13 and accompanied by an adult female will have access to the Girls’/Women’s locker room as well as the dry changing room.
  • During these times, adult women and adult men not accompanied by children, and teens 13 and over, will still be using the temporary Men’s and Women’s Locker Rooms.

We know that during the renovation period, there will be some busy, challenging times in the Locker Rooms, with the weekend lesson times being the busiest.

Please consider:

  • Leaving strollers in the hallway
  • Coming dressed for class
  • Being patient and courteous

We are so glad to be able to get this work done in the Adult Locker rooms and address the issues that have been a concern for so many of our Adult members.

Thank you for your patience, suggestions and continued support as we move forward to improve the member experience at our YMCA.

Women's Locker Room Rendition

Men's Locker Room Rendition

We are excited to share the great news that the Y will be renovating both the Men’s and Women’s Locker Rooms this spring!   We recognize these improvements are long overdue and are certain you will love the outcome.  These enhancements will help modernize our locker rooms, bring them up to ADA current standards, add a more contemporary look and feel, and increase privacy for our members.

Here’s what you can expect:

Men’s Locker Room:

  • Reconfiguring and renovating the shower area
  • Installing a New Sauna
  • Updating Fixtures and Lighting
  • Installing New Floors
  • A more modern and comfortable locker room for all to enjoy.

Women’s Locker Room:

  • Reconfiguring the showers for more privacy
  • Updating fixtures and lighting
  • Updating the lockers
  • Improving accessibility (ADA compliant)
  • Installing New floors
  • A more modern and comfortable locker room for all to enjoy.

To ensure ADA compliance and to add privacy to our current space, the steams rooms will be removed during this renovation.  Many of you have heard that we will be doing a Capital expansion in the spring of 2019.  We are looking forward to exploring options for upgraded steam rooms and other wish-list items during our planning and we welcome your input into this process.
