Starting in late August, we have openings for a full time Site Director, part time Assistant Site Directors and Group Leaders in our Framingham School’s Out program for dedicated, energetic, and caring individuals who can provide a safe and creative environment that supports the well-being of school age children.
Site Director
Site Director needed full time year round position to oversee School’s Out Program located at the Potter Road Elementary School. Applicant must be at least 20 years of age and at a minimum have a high school diploma and one year experience working with school age children. Having an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree or working towards them is a plus. Position has a split shift schedule from 7:00-9:00am and 2:30-6:00pm during school year with flexible administrative office hours. During the summer months the position will transition to a role in summer camp. Applicant must have experience with K-5 children in an afterschool and/or traditional camp settings. Assistant Site Directors
Assistant Site Directors must be 20 years of age and have at least one year of experience with elementary school age children in an afterschool program. The applicants must meet EEC certification requirements, and a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is strongly preferred. Applicants should be energetic, creative, flexible, levelheaded; able to promote teamwork; be dedicated to excellence in out-of-school time education; and possess strong communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities include assisting the Site Director in developing, implementing, and evaluating a developmentally appropriate curriculum, communicating with and building relationships with school personnel and families, and providing support to staff. Schedule includes working at the site from 1:30/2:30-6:00 PM on school days and some administrative hours. Group Leader
Would you like to work in our School’s Out Program?
We have openings in our School’s Out Before School Program for dedicated, energetic, and caring individuals who can provide a safe and creative environment that supports the well-being of school age children.
We are primarily looking for individuals who are interested in working the Before School program. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00-9:00am.
Responsibilities include leading or assisting with a wide variety of group activities, homework support and the overall care and supervision of children. Group leaders should feel comfortable teaching children caring, respect, responsibility, and honesty in our school age program by fostering physical fitness and a love of learning.
We also have flexible schedules for our After School program from 2:30-6:00pm. Ability to work Thursdays is a plus. Training will be provided to all employees, Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Must be at least 18 years of age. High school degree required with some college a plus. Minimum 1 year experience working with youth. Must possess effective leadership and group management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must possess First Aid and CPR certifications within six months of date of hire. Must be committed to the mission and goals of the YMCA.

SWIM INSTRUCTORS & LIFEGUARDS - posted 8/1/2012
This is an excellent opportunity for responsible, reliable, dependable and outgoing aquatic professionals to join the MetroWest YMCA aquatics team. Swim instructors must be WSI certified or possess an equal level of experience. Lifeguards must have current certifications and be 16 years of age. Part time shifts available weekdays and weekends for lifeguards and swim instructors. Coaching shifts will be weekday afternoons and on weekends and require the ability to be flexible. Seeking energetic dynamic individuals to join our wellness staff team. Applicants must have a nationally recognized personal training certification or be working towards a personal training certification. CPR is required.
