PRESCHOOL SPORTS

Youth Ages 3-6
The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. And the benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it’s gaining the confidence that comes from learning sports skills or building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out.

 

YOUTH SPORTS

Youth Ages 6-17
The MetroWest YMCA’s Youth sports programs will help your child develop social skills, coordination, balance and listening skills.  The MetroWest YMCA’s Youth Sports Program helps kids become not only better players, but better people as well.  Children also learn the benefits of fitness and the importance of fair play and teamwork.  The mission of the Youth Sports program is to provide a low-pressure environment that promotes fair play, sportsmanship, basic skill development, teamwork, and builds self-confidence. The emphasis of the program is on having FUN!

We believe sports, fun and exploring new interests aren’t just for the young. Along with improving health, whenever teamwork is involved, there’s the added benefit of being connected to others. That’s why you’ll find a range of recreational activities at the Y. With something to offer everyone, there’s no such thing as being too old to get in the game.
