Y STEM Academy, Natick

At the Y STEM Academy, children participate in hands-on inquiry based STEM activities that will allow them to explore their world and try new things, all while having fun and making new friends at summer camp. 
Who: Children Entering Grades 1-6 who are excited to explore STEM.
What: A Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) camp with traditional camp activities woven in throughout the day. Each week, children will par¬ticipate in small group STEM academic enrichment activities. They will use the scientific method to ask questions and explore the world around them. There is also time for more traditional camp activities such as field games.

When: One week sessions June 25-August 17. Monday- Friday 9:00am-4:00pm with drop off from 8:30am- 9:00am and pick-up from 4:00pm-4:30pm. Children must bring their lunch.
Before & After Care 7:00-8:30am & 4:30-6:00pm
Why: STEM programming is active, collaborative, meaningful, supports mastery, and expands horizons. By focusing on hands-on STEM curriculum, the Y-STEM Academy will allow for in-depth exploration that is youth-driven and staff guided in a way that cannot be achieved in a traditional school setting. This pro¬gram will allow children to make a connection be¬tween activities they enjoy and professions in the ever growing STEM field, all while building on 21st Century skills.
