YOUTH AQUATICS
Swimming is a healthy way to stay fit.
Swimming is a healthy way to stay fit. All ages benefit from aquatic fitness, from young children learning their first stroke to adults improving their overall body strength. The MetroWest YMCA’s Framingham branch pool is staffed by certified lifeguards and classes are taught by trained swim instructors. The Y’s goal is not only to develop strong swimming skills, but for participants to learn the valuable safety and rescue skills that will enable them to enjoy water activities for the rest of their lives. The MetroWest YMCAs pool is a heated indoor pool which is 25 yards long and has shallow (3’) and deep (9) ends. Lap swimming, swim lessons and open swim times are all available to members.
The Y offers swim lessons for all ages and abilities. Our Aquatics program include swim lessons for all ages, water exercise, lifeguard certification, recreation swimming, fitness and water safety. We have an aquatic program for every skill level and interest. Please see our program guide for a complete listing of classes and times.
