COVID-19 Updates

May 29, 2020

Important Update

Dear MetroWest YMCA Community,

Everyday our team is virtually meeting to create a detailed re-opening plan that follows government guidelines and provides our members with a safe space to be active, see their friends, and meet their goals. While this plan is being finalized, we will continue to send out updates as decisions are made.

Last week, we sent out a survey to get your feedback regarding the options we are exploring at this time. Based on your responses and guidance from Governor Baker, our plan is taking shape. In addition, we are excited to see the arrival of furniture and the interior completion of our major renovation project.

Most importantly, we are excited to see you, and to keep you safe and healthy. In this spirit, you will see many changes including wellness checks upon arrival, increased spacing of equipment, group exercise classes moved into much larger spaces to make social distancing possible, plexiglass partitions, enhanced cleaning procedures, and use of masks.

Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing various components of our safety precautions in order to prepare you for coming back to the Y. Together, we will continue to look out for each other and keep each other safe. Below please see photos of our Y as we prepare to welcome you back.

Thank you for your understanding, for sticking with us, and for being members of our Y family.
