Guests will learn firsthand the Y’s impact in our community and watch as past honoree, Dave McGillivray, presents the Inspiration Award to our 2022 honorees Jack Fultz and Tatyana McFadden.
About the Inspiration Award:
The MetroWest YMCA Inspiration Award is presented to special individuals who, through their amazing physical achievements, philanthropic work, and contributions to the running community, inspire thousands of people through their exceptional gifts of time and talent.

Tatyana McFadden
2022 Inspiration Award Honoree
Tatyana McFadden
Tatyana McFadden is considered the fastest woman in the world. She has 17 Paralympic medals (including seven gold medals), 23 World Major Marathon wins including four consecutive Grand Slams (first place in Boston, Chicago, NYC, and London marathons in the same year), and has broken five world records in track and field.
In 2020, she produced and was featured in “Rising Phoenix”, the Netflix original drama that tells the story of the Paralympic Movement through the lives of 9 Paralympic athletes.
We salute her exemplary performance and sportsmanship, and her powerful lesson on optimism and resilience.

Jack Fultz
2022 Inspiration Award Honoree
Jack Fultz
Jack Fultz is a retired American long-distance runner, who came to prominence in the 1970s after winning the 1976 Boston Marathon, the world's oldest and most established marathon race.
Fultz won the 1976 Boston Marathon in extreme (100+ degree) heat with a time of 2:20:19. Today, he is a fitness consultant, coach, educator, who helps others find their motivation within.
