Boston Marathon April 17, 2023
LIVE LOVE RUN!
The MetroWest YMCA serves Ashland, Framingham, Hopkinton, Holliston, Natick, Sudbury, and Wayland. We have a range of programs in the community that serve basic needs (food program) to programs that support healthy living, like chronic disease prevention.
We are a proud official charity of the Boston Athletic Association, and over the past seven years our running teams have helped raise funds that have an immediate impact back on the community.

Avery loves that she will be able to raise money for a charity in her area, local to where she both lives and works. The Y does so much to support the local community, and she is happy to raise money for programs that will help with food insecurity, educational opportunities, improving quality of life and more.

Kevin Balben
Chantal and Kevin have been part of our Y family for the past few years. They are dedicated to healthy living. When Chantal was unable to complete training for the 2023 marathon, Kevin stepped in to run for them. They are great examples for their family and our Y community.

Kristin Bujdos
The Y does incredible work in the community and as a mother of 3 young children, it’s a cause that's close to Kristin's heart. She grew up going to her local Y. It gave her a safe place where she met some of her best friends.

Leon Chen
Leon believes in the mission of the YMCA and is honored to be running for MetroWest YMCA and raising funds for this amazing organization that he and his family I have been part of for years.

Lin Zhuo
Lin grew up in Shanghai, China. YMCA Shanghai building was a classic 1930s architecture that captured the "Oriental Pearl of the Far East". As a teenager then, Lin would go to YMCA for recreational sports, contests and activities. Lin wants to advocate for the Y sprit which is really dedicated to the communities and families to be active, and achieve higher goals.

Maggie Lynch
Maggie was hired by the Y to help improve the lives of the community through nutrition counseling, education and promoting healthy eating. Today, she works daily to educate families how to make the most of their food through cooking classes, nutrition education, and connecting them with food resources, specifically during times when they need it most; weekends, school vacations, and summers.

Meg Sandblom
Meg has seen first hand the positive impact that the Y has on her students and their families. It is an organization that gives individuals of all financial backgrounds a place to grow and learn. Meg is honored to be able to raise money for this organization!

Michael Levesque
Since moving out to Hopkinton, the MetroWest YMCA has been such an incredible resource to Michael's family, especially for his son as he has transitioned to a new town and learned a new routine, made new friends, and spent his first summer at camp. The relationships that Michael's son forged and the confidence he has gained, have been invaluable towards making this move successful.

Rick Robinson
The MetroWest YMCA has been a part of Rick's journey to fitness. He battled his way out of obesity, having lost over 70 lbs, and much of that came from hours spent at the Y on cardio machines, basketball courts, and in the pool. Since then, Rick has become a marathoner. It is his great pleasure to be running for MetroWest Y.

Sam Lagan
The YMCA focuses on creating a place where every member of the community can go to be active, healthy, and supported. Growing up in Framingham, Sam has fond memories of taking part in swim lessons and other programs at the Y. Now, she is thankful to be in a position to give back.

Usha Narayana
The Y is a cause-driven organization in our community focused on supporting everyone - children, teens, adults and seniors - in staying healthy and connected. The commitment to social responsibility is important to Usha and her family. She is proud to represent the Y in Boston.
