Classroom Connections

Are you looking for a safe place to send you child on remote learning days? The MetroWest YMCA designed Classroom Connections, licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), to provide the opportunities your child needs to succeed this fall.

As a part of our program, your child will receive*:

  • An educational and care solution to attend a safe space on their non-school, remote-learning days
  • Supplemental learning that aligns with their schools’ education plans
  • Support for out-of-school time
  • Care from kindergarten through 5th grade.
  • The option of participating in a program from 8:00-3:30 (pickup between 3:00 and 3:30) or from 8:00-5:00.
  • An opportunity to develop study habits and strengthen SEL and 21st century skills
  • Significant time outside learning, being active and exploring their creativity
  • A healthy breakfast, lunch & snack prepared right in our kitchen

Here we make health and safety a priority to stop the spread:

  • Children will be placed in small groups (cohorts) with enrollment options based on the hybrid schedules and the schools that the children attend
  • Daily health check screening for all who enter the program
  • Staff and students will be required to wear masks in addition to social distancing
  • Regular cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces, supplies and equipment

We will also enforce additional health and safety policies and protocols that are here is a link to our current COVID-19 policies and procedures.
