MetroWest YMCA Honors Community Partners and Volunteers

On Tuesday, May 24, the MetroWest YMCA hosted our Annual Meeting at the Warren Conference Center in Ashland. The Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for our volunteer members to come together, reconnect and recap the prior year.

The meeting kicked off with a welcome from John Galvani, the Board President. He shared an overview of the work and led discussions that included a summary of last fiscal year, where the Y was able to keep a solid base and are well positioned for the next year thanks to investments, grants and managing federal opportunities.

President and CEO, Rick MacPherson shared some high points from the year, including the thousands of meals and hundreds of hours of remote learning our Y provided in 2021.

During the meeting, we said goodbye to outgoing board members, Josée Vachon and Kerry Morgan, while welcoming new members, Tom Caron, Penny Lewandowski, Susan Nicholl, and Aimee Siers. We appreciate all our past members have helped us accomplish and look forward to ushering in new leaders on our board.

At the conclusion of the meeting, we switched our recognition portion, when our Y honors organizational partners, volunteers and youth who have positively impacted our community and our Y directly.
