Space is availbale in all of the cooking classes and programs.  Registration is ongoing.

Family Dinner Nights

$15/member, $20/non-member per class.

Join us in the Hopkinton Teaching Kitchen for an evening of healthy cooking and dinner among family and friends!  Each class brings families together to explore the delicious culinary style that leads to lifelong health.  Classes are for chefs 5 years and older. Parents are required to stay through the duration of the program. Each class is designed to be filled with new and exciting recipes and menu items, come for one or come for all!  Each family member in attendance must register either in person, over the phone, or online. $15/member, $20/non-member per class.

Students will learn basic kitchen, cooking, and safety while creating recipes tied to books that we read in the kitchen.


Ages 6-10
Wednesdays, 4:00-5:30
February 27-April 10

Each week kids will sharpen their culinary skills by creating delicious dishes while exposing their taste buds to nutritious ingredients.


Ages 11-18
Thursdays, 3:30-5:30

This new class is for chefs excited to explore the kitchen! Participants will be learning kitchen safety skills when using knives, stovetops, and ovens while creating delicious dishes. Transportation provided for Adams, Ashland, and Hopkinton students from school to the Y.  Program is open to teens in all towns.


Eating for Weight Loss or Weight Maintenance

This NEW class is an introductory class for those interested in learning how to cook healthy meals designed to assist in weight loss. For 18 and older.  Regsiter for one or all!

Tuesday, 2/26 – Intro to Meal Prep: You will take home a week’s 4 days’ worth of meals prepared during the session. This class will provide basic kitchen skills, weekly planning tools, and recipes curated by a dietitian!  5:00-7:00pm, $35 member/$70 non-member

Tuesday, 3/12 – Eat Smart: Design meals to help you feel full on less. This will teach you how to pair meals and snack to satiate as well as address proper portion sizes for weight control. This will include cooking an amazing healthy dinner! 5:30-7:00pm, $30 member/$60 non-member

Tuesday, 3/26 – Spice up your Vegetables! Did you know we are supposed to eat 5 servings of fruits & vegetables a day? This             workshop is a guide to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into the meals you are already making! Recipes include smoothies, roasted vegetables, and hummus!  5:30-700pm, $30 member/$60 non-member.

Lunch Bunch for Chefs

Ages 55 and Up 
$115 member/$230 non member

These simple healthy recipes are perfect for one or two and are designed to be cost effective! Join us for this brand new class.
This class will run on Wednesdays in 2 sessions:
March 6th-March 27th, 11:30-12:30 with an option social hour from 12:30-1:30
April 3rd – April 24th, 11:30-12:30 with an option social hour from 12:30-1:30


Couples Cooking 

Ages 18 & Up
$50/couple per class, 5:30-7pm
Childcare available for an additonal $10/child

This romantic cooking class will feature decadent recipes to help connect.
Friday, March 15th will feature Caesar Salad, Chicken Parmesan, & Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Saturday, April 6thwill feature Caprese Salad, Tortellini, and Sautéed Apples

Danielle is a Registered Dietitian who graduated from Framingham State University with a BS in Food and Nutrition. She first joined the YMCA during summer of 2017 as a camp counselor and has worked and interned in many roles since. Danielle was a dietetic intern at the Hockomock Area YMCA in North Attleborough as well as public school nutritional programs in Ashland.  She is passionate about providing nutrition education to the community in a fun and innovative way through programs and Schools Out.
