YOUTH & ADULT ARCHERY

Aim for the future with our YMCA archery classes! Our beginner and intermidate class gradually teaches skills, patience, and confidence. The Advanced class covers more in-depth skills, care of equipment and essential gear, compettiion commands, and other skills. The advance class is invite only, or you may audition for the class (call Abby Biser 508.435.9345 x104 to set up a time). 

Our classes are mulit-age. Adults are invited to join the appropriate class. We hope to one day have so many adults involved that we might be able to have an adult archery club! See you soon!

Beginner/Intermediate: Saturdays 9AM - 10AM

Advanced: Saturdays 10:15AM - 11:15AM

TRAIN YOUR BRAIN: MINDFUL METHODS FOR KIDS (5th - 7th Grade)

Have you ever wondered what is goin on inside your head? SOmetimes it doesn't feel like we have much control over what's happening in our brain. But ddi you know by learning more about your brain you can become more successful in school, be ab etter friend, and develop strategies to help manage stress as you get older? Come join us for 4 weeks of mindfulness instruction, where we will play games and complete challenges all while learning about your brain. 

4 Classes - Saturdays: January 19th & 26th, and February 3rd & 10th

Time: 10AM - 11AM

GEO QUEST

In this 3 class series, explore what makes up the Earth and how different types of rocks are formed. Learned about crystals and find examples on our property. And finally, break into your very own Geode! Class sessions are "Rock Hounds," "Minerals: They're Everywhere," and "What's in your Geode?"

Ages: Students in 4th - 6th Grade

3 Classes - Saturdays: January 19th & 26th, and February 2nd

Time: 1PM - 2:30 PM

WINTER SURVIVAL SKILLS DAY

If you’ve ever wanted to learn useful outdoor skills, this is your chance! Come join us to practice snowshoeing, shelter-building, and starting a fire. Along the way, we’ll work on using a compass, identifying edible plants, and tracking wild animals. Whether you’re an experienced survivalist who wants to hone your flint-and-steel technique, or a new explorer learning about the woods for the first time, we hope you’ll join us! Winter Survival Skills Day is open to children, teens, adults, and families of all ages.

IMPROV COMEDY EXTRAVAGANZA

If you love to act, like telling jokes, or just want to laugh, come join us for an Improv Comedy Extravaganza! We’ll spend the afternoon playing games, creating scenes, and learning techniques for acting without a script. Whether you’ve acted before, or you just want to give improvisation a try, we hope you’ll join us! The Extravaganza is open to children, teens, adults, and families of all ages.

TEA & TALES

Have you ever wanted to write stories? If so, this is your chance! At Tea and Tales, we’ll be drinking tea, reading tales, and writing stories of our own. Along the way, we’ll talk about the elements of a good story, including setting, plot, and character development. Whether you’re a budding novelist or just learning to write, we hope you’ll join us for an afternoon of literary exploration! Tea and Tales is open to children, teens, adults, and families of all ages.
