Light it Up Blue!

Apr 14, 2020

Dear Y community,

John Hancock in partnership with the B.A.A., Governor Baker and Mayor Walsh is collectively calling for the community—from businesses to individual residents—to share gratitude for the front lines by participating in the Light It Up Blue campaign.

The Y 's Framingham location will be lit BLUE to display signs of gratitude and show our support for our front line workers and essential employees. We encourage you too – to do what you can to Light it Up Blue! The B.A.A. has included a poster that can printed at home and hung in your window, and a fun coloring activity for kids. Other ways that one can light up their homes or businesses blue is by wrapping blue ribbons around a tree/mailbox/fence outside your home, or changing to a Blue lightbulb in your front entryway, and sharing pics and posts on your social media pages.

Let’s all come together and let the front lines know: “You are essential. We are grateful.” And light it up blue!

On April 15th, 2020, the B.A.A is starting by lighting the historic John Hancock weather beacon, Government Station, Zakim Bridge and City Hall blue and a thank you flag will be placed on John Hancock’s 200 Berkeley Street building.

Thank you and be well!
