At the MetroWest YMCA we have a robust program offerings to help you reach your goals.  Our staff will meet you where you are at and help provide resources and support on your health and wellbeing journey.

Wellness Consultation

Is a FREE member benefit we encourage all members to partipate in.  Schedule a one-on-one meeting with one of our dedicated Wellness staff to discuss health and wellbeing goals.  Explore all the benefits available to you and your family that are included in your Y membership!  We will provide support and individualized recommendations for classes, programs, and offerings based on your health & fitness history, current levels and future goals.  Appointments can be done in-person, video call or phone call.  To schedule an appointment contact Jenny Bustin at 508-879-4420 ext. 287 or jbustin@metrowestymca.org

Equipment Fittings/ Orientations

Walking through a fitness facility can be intimidating, but we are hear to help!  Wellness staff will provide a guided tour of the Wellness Center, describe the function of each different type of machine, demonstrate proper use of cardio and strength equipment.  During the equipment fitting session, you will learn how to determine the correct settings and adjust the machines to fit your body so you are safe and create a balanced workout.  Wellness staff will discuss choosing appropriate weights, sets, and reps and progressions as your body gets stronger.  This opportunity is FREE for members and can be repeated as many times as you would like.  Equipment fittings is great for individuals new to exercise, returning to exercise, or experienced exerciser looking to double check form and alignment.

Equipment Fittings are offered in small groups and last about 45-60 minutes.  Please dress in comfortable workout attire.

Our Wellness Center Includes

  • New Functional Training and Turf Area with LifeFitness Synrgy360 XM, Squat Racks, TRX Straps, Concept 2 SkiErg and Rower, Jacob's Ladder, Matrix S Drive, and AirDyne bike  

  • Precor Treadmills, Upright Bikes, Recumbant Bikes, AMTs, Ellipticals with private screens with internet connections enabling members to watch Live TV, Netflix, Hulu, or listen on their Spodify accounts

  • Concept 2 Rowers, Stairmasters, Octane Lateral Trainers, and Octane Zero Runner

  • Cybex Arc Trainers, Keiser Spin Bikes, Expresso Interactive Bikes, and Octane Seated Ellipticals

  • Life Fitness and Cybex Strength Equipment

  • Free weight area with squat racks, benches, cable stations, dumbbells, and Kettlebells

  • Youth & Family Area (for ages 7+ when accompanied by a parent or guardian) includes Precor Treadmills, Recumbant Bikes, Elliptical, Octane Seated Elliptical, Expresso Interactive Bikes, Cybex Strength Equipment, Wii and Xbox

Youth in the Wellness Center  

For the safety of our youngest members we have some age requirements when using the Wellness Center.

  • You must be at least 7 years old to be in the Youth & Family area AND be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  

  • You must be at least 12 years old to use the cardio and strength machines AND be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

  • You must be at least 14 years old to use the Functional Training and Turf Area and the Free Weight Area

We encourage all youth members and their guardian to participate in a FREE Equipment Fitting session to make sure they are using the equipment safely and properly.
