Fall 2 Program Guide


Youth Programs; ages 11-15

Youth & Teen Weightlifting

Using a variety of equipment like kettlebells, dumbbells, and barbells, youth and teens will learn the basics of weightlifting/strength training. Teens will learn how to perform movements like bench press, squat, deadlift and more. 


Adult Programs; ages 16+

Cycle Power

Improve your cardiovascular fitness and lower body strength through this high level cycle class. Pre and post power tests will be performed for participants to see their improvement. Throughout the session, participants will work at intensities specific to them based on their power tests. Power cycle is open to all as intensities are customized for you, and a class is a must if you are an outdoor cyclist, triathlete or looking to imporve your cardiovascular fitness. 


Strength & Conditioning

Get stronger and build confidence through this small group training class.  This class will focus on muscular strength, refining your body composition, and increasing your endurance.  Join a small group for motivation and support!



Family Dinner Nights

A shopping list and zoom link will be sent to you upon registration. All registrants will receive an apron or chefs hat to design for class!

Enhance Wellness

A FREE 6 month program designed personally for you. The program will identify health risks and help you learn strategies for making positive changes in the areas of physical activity, weight management, socialization, emotions, nutrition and many more.  A health coach will work with you to make an action plan that meets your personal needs through one on one sessions via phone, email or Zoom. YMCA’s Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program (BPSM)

An evidence-based program that features personalized support for developing a blood pressure self-monitoring routine, tips for maintaining cardiovascular health and nutrition education. The simple process of checking and recording your blood pressure at least twice a month over a period of four months has been shown to lower blood pressure in some people with hypertension. $40 for Y-members, $65 for Non-members. Parkinson’s Class

A class for anyone with a neuromuscular condition such as MS, Parkinson’s, cerebrovascular accident etc……  Each class includes balance, strength, cognition and flexibility exercises with the Wednesday class incorporating some yoga movements. Wednesday and Friday 10-11am virtually via Zoom starting September 16th to December 18th for 14 weeks.  Free Y-members, Non-members $136 and Non-members can apply for scholarship as needed. 


Diabetes Self-Management

Developed by Stanford University and based on the Chronic Disease Self-Management curriculum, this program is for people with diabetes, their families and caregivers. Learn techniques to deal with the symptoms of diabetes, fatigue, pain, hyper/hypoglycemia, appropriate exercise, medication usage and healthy eating. Then create weekly action plans, share experiences and help each other solve problems to manage diabetes. NEXT CLASS: October 5th to November 9th on Mondays from 10am to 12:30pm for 6 weeks virtually via Zoom. Free for Y-members & Non-members.


YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program (YDPP)

Evidence based program to prevent type 2 diabetes. Guided by a YDPP Lifestyle coach participants learn small, measurable changes to reduce the risk for Type 2 diabetes and live a healthier lifestyle. This program will be taught virtually via Zoom and meets for 16 weekly sessions, 2 bi-weekly sessions and 8 monthly sessions for support thru this year program.  $120 for members $429 for non members.



Personal Training

We are offering one-on-one or semi-private (2+) in-person (indoors or outdoors) and virtual personal training options. Meet our trainers! Weigh to Change

Two 7-week programs available during our Fall season. This program has its own session dates and does not follow the start/end dates of Fall 1, 2 or 3. Program price: $250

• Includes weekly 30 minute Personal Training Sessions - virtual or in person

• Includes weekly 60 min group workout, in person or stream virtually

• Includes weekly 60 min group nutrition workshop- virtually

• Weekly weigh-ins in-person or virtual

• Prize for most % of weight loss

• Session 1: 9/14- 10/31

• Session 2: 11/2- 12/19


Free Health & Wellness Program

• Meet with a staff member for a wellness consultation, discuss your goals, needs and create SMART goals

• 1-1 Equipment Orientation

• Weekly check-ins with staff for weigh-in and checking on goals

• Introduction to nutrition counselling services

• Program is 4-8 weeks depending on your personal goals

• YMCA swag for completing the program

Nutrition Consultations

Includes a 1-hour initial consultation and 1 follow-up. Your evaluation includes nutrition assessment and individual goal setting. Additional follow-ups are available for the member who would like continued one-on-one support for their nutritional and weight management. Can be done in-person or virtually.

Group Exercise

We are offering about 30 classes a week online, in-person and outside. Classes provide the appropriate physical distancing for member safety. Our online classes are available through: Our Health & Wellness Facebook Group, Zoom and The Zumba App. We offer a variety of class formats including strength, bootcamp, cardiovascular, balance, Pilates, Yoga and Senior Fitness.
