Youth & Teen Wellness Programs

The MetroWest YMCA offers health and well-being classes for youth and teens, starting as young as 7 years old.  Our programs help youth to develop healthy exercise and wellness habits that will promote a healthy lifestyles for them and their families.  

 

Cardio Kids

Cardio Kids is a fun movement based class. There will be exercise challenges, relays, games, and kids might even learn how to use equipment in the Wellness Center. Ages 7-11

Teen Weightlifting

Using the free weight area of the Wellness Center, teens will learn the basics of weightlifting/ strength training using a variety of tools (kettlebells, dumbbells, and barbells). Teens will learn how to perform

basic strength training movements like bench press, squatting, and deadlifting properly and then build their strength throughout the class. Ages 11-16

Weigh to Change

Join us for Weigh to Change, a 8-week lifestyle change program. Contact Maggie Lynch at maggielynch@metrowestymca.org for more information.

 
• Weekly 30 minute personal training sessions (7 total) 
• Two one-on-one nutrition consultations
• Group classes offered only for Weigh to Change participants
• 2 Styku body scans
