Youth & Teen Wellness Programs
The MetroWest YMCA offers health and well-being classes for youth and teens, starting as young as 7 years old. Our programs help youth to develop healthy exercise and wellness habits that will promote a healthy lifestyles for them and their families.
Classes available
Cardio Kids (Ages 7-11)
Kids learn how to use the cardio and strength equipment in the Youth and Family Area of the Wellness Center. We ask kids to sign up for a maximum of 2 classes a week. Parents must sign children in and out of class each day. Cost: FREE for Members, cost varies for Non-Members

Healthy Weight and Your Child (Ages 7-13)
This evidence based program is for young children in the 95 percentile of their BMI. The comprehensive program empowers children, with the support of their family, to reach a healthy weight and live a healthier lifestyle by focusing on behavior change and physical activity. Powerful Girls (Age 10-14)
Designed to work with young girls to build strength and confidence in a private, supported environment. This class hopes to help girls with body awareness, self-esteem, and stress management through learning fun, full body movements designed specifically for young girls.
