Lifeguard Full Training Course 
This course is for those training for the first time or for those whose certifications have expired and available at the MetroWest YMCA in a Blended Learning course format (19.5 hours in person, 7.5 hours online). 
The pre-requisites for this course include being 15 years of age and having passed the pre-course swimming skills test. Participants who successfully complete the Lifeguarding course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for 2 years.
3 Day Course: Friday June 11 4-8pm, Saturday June 12 9am-5pm, Sunday 9am-5pm
Cost: Family members $290 / Teen members $315 / Non Members $375 OR Committ to working as a lifeguard at the MetroWest YMCA and the cost of the class will be waived. Must sign employment agreement.
Location: This class will be held either at the Framingham Branch Pool or Clearbrook Pool. Class location will be announced week of and based upon the weather forcast.

Safety Education Classes


ASHI Basic First Aid for the Community and Workplace (@ Framingham)
In this nationally recognized program, participants will develop basic first aid knowledge and skill and the confidence to respond. They learn signs, symptoms, and treatment of emergencies such as severe bleeding, shock, burns, allergic reactions, poisoning and more. 


ASHI CPR/AED for the Community (@ Framingham)

Theprogram is for the individual who wants or are required to have CPR and AED knowledge and skills: including emergency response teams in the workplace, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care worker, teachers, parents, and baby-sitters. Cost: $65


CPR/AED American Heart Association for the Professional Rescuer (@ Framingham)

The BLS Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both pre-hospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics. Cost: $75
