The 33rd Annual Rodman Ride for Kids Event

RIDE TO SUPPORT LOCAL YOUTH

The Rodman Ride for Kids is a bicycling event that has raised millions to support at-risk teens in our communities. The MetroWest YMCA is excited to partner with the ride again so youth in our community have access to educational programs, healthy meals, and opportunities to build their career aspirations and goals.

Want to Join?

Please consider joining us for one of the following options:

OPTION 1: An in-person 25 or 50 mile event on Saturday, September 23rd in Foxborough.

  •          It is a fully supported ride (well-marked roads, road crew to monitor, food and celebration afterwards).

OPTION 2: Choose your own adventure:

  •          You can also pick your own activity and do this virtually. Biking not your thing? Set a goal to walk 20 times between now and September 24th, do 10 burpees a day, go for run, etc.

We encourage you to help us fundraise for these events, but we have a sponsor who can cover the minimum (Foxborough fundraising minimum is $2000. Choose your own adventure fundraising minimum is $500).

How to Register:

  • New participants will need to create an account
  • Log in if you already have an account.
  • Click on “change” and select 25 mile or 50 bib request or choose your own adventure.
  • Role – select individual
  • Then, complete the fundraising minimum ($500 for Choose your Own Adventure, $2000 for the Foxborough ride). While we encourage you to fundraise, we have a sponsor who is covering the minimum requirements.

Volunteer Information:

  • Breakfast tent. Before the riders start, coffee, donuts, bagels are provided. We need a couple of people to help manage the tent. Set up the food (by 7:30), replenish food, water, ice, etc. as necessary to ensure there is always enough for all participants and volunteers and keep area clean.
  • Road Crew. 2-3 people. Basically, road crew goes the day before the ride to mark the route, and then the day of the ride, you are available while the ride is happening to make sure people are having a fun and safe experience. More information below. One person needs to commit to both days.
