METROWEST YMCA INVITES FAMILIES TO KICK OFF OUTDOOR SEASON AT HEALTHY KIDS DAY!

Featuring Family Trail Run and Kids’ Dash, Vendors, Games, Camp Tours

Hopkinton, MA - April 09, 2024—The MetroWest YMCA is thrilled to announce its annual Healthy Kids Day®, set to take place on Saturday, April 27, at the Outdoor Center in Hopkinton (45 East Street, Hopkinton, MA 01748). This eagerly awaited event, proudly sponsored nationally by Peanuts, is designed to foster a day of wholesome fun, promote active lifestyles, and create lasting memories for families.

Healthy Kids Day® promises an array of engaging activities for kids and families, including arts & crafts, indoor rock climbing, fitness challenges, archery, STEAM games, and more.  Highlights of the day include:

  • Project ABC Teddy Bear Picnic - 10:00 AM - 2 PM
  • Summer Camp Tours - 10:00 AM - 2 PM
  • Family Trail Run (ages 6+) - Registration Opens at 10:00 AM; Race begins at 10:30 AM
  • Kids’ Dash (ages 2-5 and 6-10) - 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Healthy Kids’ Day Vendors, Games, and Activities - 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Lunch Available - 11:00 AM - 2 PM ($)

“It is crucial for children to remain physically and mentally engaged during the summer months when routines change,” said Rick MacPherson, President and CEO of the MetroWest YMCA. “At the Y, we are committed to empowering families with the resources needed to cultivate healthy habits not just at summer camp, but year-round. Healthy Kids Day is an opportunity for families to connect with each other and  explore the diverse range of activities available at the Y.”
