Meet our Personal Trainers! 

 

Katrina Ladd

Katrina

Katrina is our Health and Wellness Director as well as one of our personal trainers. Originally from Wisconsin, Katrina moved out to Massachusetts the first time after her undergrad to work at MIT in their Athletics Department. After a 1 year internship, she went back to Wisconsin to complete a Masters in Education at Carroll University. Upon graduation, Katrina moved back to Massachusetts in 2014 and has been in New England ever since.

Kevin

I have been guiding individuals toward their health and wellness goals since 2012. As a personal trainer, coach, and group exercise instructor, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients from high school athletes, older adults, to special populations. My experience as a group exercise instructor ranges from couch to 5Ks, strength and conditioning, TRX, boot camps, and kettlebells., I believe that one step forward, no matter how small, is a step toward progress.

Juliana Souza

Juliana

Juliana has worked as a personal trainer in Brasil and the United States. She works well with youth and teens. Her expertise includes bodybuilding and biomechanics applied to resistance training. She speaks fluent Portuguese.

Personal Trainer: Francois

Francois

Francois is one of our newest personal trainers and he's made quite an impact in our Teen Weightlifting, Boxing, and FT classes. Francois started his career as a catering chef and switched careers to fitness when COVID began.

Nick Langen

Nick

Nick is one of our newer personal trainers. Nick's journey as a personal trainer began in college. He and some friends formed a bodybuilding club. It became very popular and led to Nick being recruited as a strength training instructor for circus performers. For a short time, he even had his own circus act! Since then, Nick continued to follow down the path of health and fitness. He is certified in NASM Personal training and as a Nutrition Coach, CPR, First aid, and AED certified.

Richard Hildreth

Richard

Richard has been working in health & wellness since 2014. He was raised and lives in Ashland, near the Ashland Town Forest (great spot to hike if you’ve never been). Richard's areas of expertise include working with special populations like cancer survivors and Parkinson’s clients, balance exercises, functional training, and corrective exercise.

Matinkho

Matinkho

Matinkho is a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM), Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM), Nutritional Coach (NASM), Youth Exercise Specialist (NASM), and earned a B.S. Physiotherapy. Matinkho has played soccer throughout his life, and this inspired his passion for fitness. His areas of expertise are strength training and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).

PT Bri

Bri

Bri has experience training a wide range of ages and fitness levels. She has been a track & field and cross-country coach for middle school students as well as a group exercise instructor for college students and for elderly residents at an independent living facility. At the MetroWest YMCA, Bri is one of our personal trainers and teaches FT, Bootcamp, and Strength Training.

Leslie

Leslie

Leslie has been an AFAA Certified Group Exercise Instructor since 1990, an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer since 1992, and an ASCM Certified Personal Trainer since 2010. Leslie is also an AFAA Certified Step Instructor and has taught many group exercise classes from sunrise yoga and Tai Chi to pilates and indoor cycling. Leslie has also worked in the Livestrong® program and taught Prenatal and Postpartum classes

PT-Carol

Carol

Carol is currently employed at MWMC working with adult patients with a specialty in Cardiac Nursing. She works with clients in the Cardiac Rehab Program and Livestrong® Program at the MetroWest YMCA. She finds it satisfying to work with clients who are facing challenges initiating an exercise program who need the support of a personal trainer.

Personal Trainer Mauro

Mauro

One of our newest personal trainers, Mauro joined the MetroWest YMCA in October 2022. Mauro's training philosophy focuses on functional fitness for older adults. Functional fitness is exercises that represent everyday movements. They build strength, stability and mobility throughout the body that ready you for life’s activities. We are getting older as a nation but that does not mean we can’t stay healthy and active!

Delaney

Delaney is a personal trainer and coach who has been passionate about sports and fitness all her life. She tries to incorporate a variety of fitness activities into her energetic workouts to keep them exciting. She feels most fulfilled when seeing the satisfaction people feel when achieving their fitness and nutrition goals.

Brendan

Brendan grew up in Natick and played lacrosse from youth to college. His area of expertise is bodybuilding and athletic strength and conditioning. He also has experience with Esports.
