Chop’s Diner: An Interactive Dinner Theater Experience

Get your tickets for Chop’s Diner, a one-of-a-kind Halloween dinner theater experience benefiting the MetroWest YMCA!

Chop’s Diner combines a three-course, family-style meal with live improvisational comedy, music, and interactive entertainment at Y’s Outdoor Center in Hopkinton.

Chop’s Diner takes place Friday and Saturday, October 23–24 and October 30–31, with seatings at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. each evening.

Guests will enjoy a full, three-course meal featuring Southern-inspired comfort food served family-style at their tables, with vegetarian options available. Throughout the meal, colorful characters will mingle with guests and deliver unexpected surprises. At Chop’s, the guests are part of the scene, and no two reunions are quite alike.

For years, Deadwoodville was a popular MetroWest Halloween tradition. This year, the event has been reimagined as a dinner theater experience held in a covered, heated pavilion. The setting is Chop’s Diner, a quirky 1950s-inspired establishment. The event? A 50th high school reunion.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the menu?
On the table: Cornbread with honey butter
1st course: Fall Harvest Salad: Kale and mixed greens with roasted sweet potatoes, apples, sunflower seeds, and goat cheese with a maple balsamic dressing
2nd course: BBQ Pulled pork, apple cider glazed chicken thighs, mac & cheese, and seasonal/ local roasted root vegetables

Is this scary?
Not really. **Chop’s Diner is funny with a dark streak.**

The humor is dry, the hospitality is genuine, and nobody in Deadwoodville finds any of it unusual.

Expect something warm, funny, and just slightly wrong in ways you may not be able to name until the drive home.

What ages is this recommended for?
We recommend ages 12+, but you know your child best. The show includes dark humor and a slightly spooky atmosphere, so younger guests are welcome at a parent or guardian’s discretion.

How long is the show?
The full experience runs approximately **90 minutes**.

Where is Chop’s Diner?
You’ll take a short walk along a wooded path to find Chop’s Diner. The "Diner" is the sports pavilion at the Outdoor Center, which will be fully enclosed and covered.

Will it be heated?
Yes! Deadwoodville has been around since the early 1700s, and they figured out heat somewhere along the way.

The diner itself will be heated, but bring a jacket for the short walk through the woods to the door.

Can I reserve a table for a group?

Absolutely! Gather your classmates and reserve a table of 10 for $450, a savings of $50. It's the perfect excuse to get the whole crew together for a night at Chop's Diner! To purchase a table, call (508) 435-9345.
