If you're looking for a new challenge or you'd like to try something different, archery and rock climbing are incredible sports that will introduce you to various skills and techniques to add to your tool belt!

Archery and climbing programs are held at the Hopkinton Outdoor Center.

Fall Session

We offer seven program sessions a year at both the Framingham Branch and the Hopkinton Outdoor Center. Our Fall II session begins soon at the Framingham Branch. We hope you will join us.

Fall 2: November 2 – December 23

Member registration opens: October 6
Community Members: October 13

Anyone can take classes at the MetroWest YMCA. If you're not a member, join today and benefit from member pricing and other perks.

Beginner Archery (Indoor)

Our Beginner Archery program works on range safety and foundational archery skills: identifying the parts of the bow and arrow, how to hold equipment, stance, and other information. All equipment is provided!

Ages 6+

Intermediate Archery (Indoor)

Class focuses on foundational archery skills: identifying the parts of the bow and arrow, how to hold equipment, stance, and other information. All equipment is provided!

Ages 6+

Advanced Archery (Indoor)

Students will home in on their form, learn range/competition commands, and learn stringing, waxing, and re-fletching of gear. To participate, you MUST have instructor approval.

Ages: 10+

Adult Belay

Learn how to belay and manage ropes to take charge of your family’s safety! After completing the course, you'll be certified to belay your family and approved guests during Friday night weekly Open Climb sessions.

Ages 18+

Open Climb

Fridays, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

The indoor climbing gym is open to climbers of all ages, shapes, and sizes. If you can be appropriately harnessed, you may climb. The last hour is glow-in-the dark/blacklight climb. Anyone 18+ wishing to belay must attend a class.

If you're not a member, it's $10/person and $25 for families.
